Of course I like the song, in a nice happy and simple and easy four chords on the guitar kinda way. It won't be winning any awards, but it does the job I ask of music and that is to give me good feelings. Thumbs three-quarters of the way up.

I loved the song from The Cure on the 'Kiss me, kiss me, kiss me' double album back in the late 80s and I also love Katies version!

Sorry, but that song is pretty average and even rather boring to me. One of my least favourite album tracks.

I must say that although I really like the song, I think that it is among my favourites, I love the lyrics more. Especially:

For me it is a breathtaking song, It is really like heaven on earth. IMHO much better that the original from THE CURE.

Back in the 80ies I was a hugh The Cure fan and accidentally the song 'Just Like Heaven' of the double album 'Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me' was one of my favourites

I love both versions

I remember, one day, we had some friends for a DVD evening. We watched the film and at the end, when Katie played my friend said: "What a wonderful voice". Last christmas, she got the special edition from PbP as present. and she loves it!!!

As being mentioned above, my son Julian (3) is born with that song. O.K. Let me count that. The birth was planned in a very modern hospital. The doctor offered us, that we could select two CD's, which would be played during the oparation. And since my wife thought, that I'm more nervous, than her, she let me select. I choose COTS and PbP. And just when JLH was played, my son did his first scream!!

Another weird story about this song. Did you know, that during the tour 2006, two people fainted during that song. One in Sheffield (and Katie dedicated the song for him) and one in Freiburg (and Katie dedicated any other song to him, but not JLH).

But I can still proudly say: I was the first one, fainting during that song !!!

In the interview Katie recently gave to the newspaper 'upper austria news' she said that she don't think she makes coverversions to her own songs. For example she took the track 'Just Like Heaven' and said:



Personally I am not this opinion. If you watch the movie with the same title till the end you could here at the end credits first the Cure and after this Katie. So for me there milestones between these two versions.

Katies version sounds so fresh so wonderful and so faithfully.
