This is another great track (Katie what's your secret?)

Shame she played on the guitar instead of the piano during her last concerts....

My favorite live version is from the North Sea Jazz festival last year :music:

The live performance of it is really great, on the album, it's a rather average song. Not bad, but not too good, either.

Once I listened to the original of Randy Newman and I have to say I don't like it

But in Katies version there is so much emotion and some much of her wonderful voice. But I also agree that I prefer it life with the piano beside Katie (not the guitar as at the last concerts)

No shame! Good choice transferring the piano chords onto the guitar! And very skillful the performance!

We're going offtopic. Anyway, as someone who plays both guitar and piano I don't agree to that generalizing sentence. Piano and guitar are related instruments, they are both chord instruments. It's true that playing the piano and singing in the same moment is a very high discipline. I like the way in which Katie transfers the piano chords onto the piano, and Iike just her minimalistic style in the life performance. That's just perfect! The orginal piano arrangementis are quite difficult, and Katie's first instrument is the guitar, I would have taken the same choice.

I could easily think that this song belongs to her thanks to her talent... The AVO session here is really wonderful, even if there are some akwards things IMO, like the hard "And I think" lines she tried or the too much "classical" end of the piano. But who cares ? Amazing performance anyway :clap:

what a beautiful song! No mind if live or album. It's a song so full of emotion and it is so wonderful just to listen to it with the headphones with closed eyes, 100% concentrated on the song.
