The thing that makes me feel the most down,
Is the feeling that I'm living in a ghost town.
Barn door bangin' in my face,
Like tumbleweed,
I'm rolling 'round this place.

I see you arriving at the station,
But it's only my imagination.
So I'm begging on my knees,
Turn around,
And save me, baby, please.

From this ghost town,

Chorus:
I feel like giving in,
Since you left I'm living in,
An old ghost town.

Hey kid, I remember all the laughter,
Especially when we woke the morning after.
Why did you have to go away,
Leaving me to wander every day.

In this ghost town,
<Chorus>

We were born to ride,
Side by side.
We are always reaching for the stars,
And they can still be ours.

(If you free me from this)

Ghost town,
<Chorus> x 3

Living in an old ghost town

When I first heard that that Pictures was gong to have a reggae-influenced song I was a bit sceptical but after finally hearing this track, all doubts disippated: love the groove and her vocal delivery. Definately a summer tune.
YA MON' !!!!! :music: :music:

A great song song in my eyes. I hope it will have some success as Katies new single. I cross my fingers for it.

Indeed a great song, which could be a massive summer hit. Now let's all hope the radio stations will broadcast it, and Dramatico is considering a hard copy release with some decent marketing / advertising....

I think it's good in the sense that it confirms Katie's versatility and range of vocal skills. I guess the proof will be in the pudding as they say.

Absolutely great, that song.

I remember, when I first heard, that Katie is going to sing a Reggae song, I thought: "Katie, Reggae, never". But she proved me wrong. It is simply perfect. The Live version is even better (Katie, Live album ???).

Also for me, the big opportunity for a summer hit. And it could also show those people, who still think, that Katie only sings ballads, how versatil she is.

By the way: Now I'm sitting in Lima in a restaurant at the beach, drinking a Piña Colada and I'm listening to Ghost Town.

I have never heard this one so I am intrigued by the fact that Katie can sing reggae. That must be worth hearing.... :P

You honestly have never heard Ghost Town? Were you unable to download all the TV broadcasts that have been posted of Katie singing it?

This morning, GT was in the SWISS radio, being mentioned as candidate for the summer hit 2008. And it is true, hearing it in the radio, it brings you a very good mood. Greeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaat song!!!

Of course it's a candidate for a summer hit, that's why I proposed it at SWR3 together with WIMAY. I hope they will play it here as well. 8-)

Having avoided on principle buying 23rd June 2006 iTunes-only download of 'radio mix', I did buy it yesterday and wonder please if anyone who has bought it can tell me of differences between it/the version on 'Pictures'? (apart from supposedly being 2 seconds shorter).

Is it worth my downloading also 'live' iTunes versions despite many live versions being available elsewhere?

The principle was that I have paid for all of the other download 'variations' over the years, and this Ghost Town futile release did not even have e.g. 'B' track worthwhile otherwise-unreleased download.

Needless to say, as usual I made my 79p song into 8-track CDr single with usual printed cover/other recent unreleased KM acquisitions - e.g. nice version of Kozmic blues/etc etc, and blasted it sonically out of window to my/locality's entertainment yesterday.
