I guess I am one of the few who really love this one.

When the deep purple falls,
Over sleepy garden walls,

And the stars begin to flicker in the sky,
Through the mist of a memory,

You wander back to me,
Breathing my name with a sigh.
In the still of the night,

Once again i hold you tight,
Though you're gone, your love lives on

When moonlight beams.
And as long as my heart will beat,
Lover, we'll always meet,
Here in my deep purple dreams.

I'm with you, though I've been quite disconcerted the first time I've heard it...

It's different but it shows once more that Katie can sing beautifully pretty much everything :)

I like that song, although it is not one of my favourites.

A nice sweet song with a good simple melody, though I think she overdoes the high notes too much (but she does reach them DAMM!!! ). Not a bad song, but I think she could have done it better. But that's my take...

A wonderful song which stands for me in the same row as 'Call Of The Search' and 'Stardust'

As I have said before, I really don't like her version of this song. I don't know why, I just can't listen to it :?

I do like Deep Purple but it's in the middle order for me. I don't there is anything wrong with the way Katie sings it though.

Not a great one, and I agree she seems to over-exaggerate the high notes quite a lot. I wouldn't mind if she lullabied me to sleep with it though! :P
