I really love Katie's version of the Bob Dylan song.

How many roads must a man walk down
Before you call him a man?
Yes, n how many seas must a white dove sail
Before she sleeps in the sand?
Yes, n how many times must the cannon balls fly
Before theyre forever banned?
The answer, my friend, is blowin in the wind,
The answer is blowin in the wind.

How many times must a man look up
Before he can see the sky?
Yes, n how many ears must one man have
Before he can hear people cry?
Yes, n how many deaths will it take till he knows
That too many people have died?
The answer, my friend, is blowin in the wind,
The answer is blowin in the wind.

How many years can a mountain exist
Before its washed to the sea?
Yes, n how many years can some people exist
Before theyre allowed to be free?
Yes, n how many times can a man turn his head,
Pretending he just doesnt see?
The answer, my friend, is blowin in the wind,
The answer is blowin in the wind

I'll have to agree: she does give a very good rendition to this Dylan classic. Another of her ace cover versions. :approve:

Great cover version of Katie. I like it, but to be honest, not one of my favourites from Katie

We had this discussion on the offrum once....I must say I like the song but I prefer Dylan's version this time. Take nothing away from Katie...still very special but it's just a matter of opinion. Sorry Katie.... :earsk:

I've already said it elsewhere. It's the best video to show to someone who does'nt know Katie yet.

I would rather hear Katie sing it, but I think it's always going to be a Bob Dylan song. :|

Nice idea :approve: . It's one of my favourite of Katie's covers, if not my very favourite, and all we have of it is this one performance on German TV.

She did a great job! This cover of hers is amazingly beautiful..
I think Katie's version of this song is better than bob's, might be because I'm not a great fan of Bob Dyllan's..

This song has become one of my favorites quite recently. It's always been a good song, I think, and Katie does a really good job covering the song. I love how she repeats the line, like "The answer my friend, is blowing, is blowing, the answer is blowing in the wind". So good.

Quite right, that is the best moment in a good rendition. :approve:

Yes, I´ve seen her performance at Taratata 2006 several times now. A very nice cover of a wonderful song :music:

In my view this is her best cover. I heard it about a hundred times and I still can't get enough of it. A pity it's not on Collection but hopefully it'll be on a special edition of an album or as a B-track on a single.

You're probably right. It would cost her way too much to get the rights to do that. But nothing can stop me from dreaming about it.

I didn't even think about that, but Katie hasn't sung in a concert has she? Just once on TV... It doesn't seem release-material for me, even if it's very good! :approve:

No I think she only performed this at Taratata, unfortunately. But some of us are still hoping for Joan of Arc on any CD, which she performed live at some concerts earlier in her career, and that dream still didn’t come true either. :(

Couldn't agree more. Both songs are so amazing and IMO underrated.
