I saw that on this forum there isn't topic about this song :D

Cry baby cry
Make your mother sigh
She's old enough to know better.

The king of Marigold was in the kitchen
Cooking breakfast for the queen
The queen was in the parlour
Playing piano for the children of the king.

Cry baby cry
Make your mother sigh
She's old enough to know better
So cry baby cry.

The king was in the garden
Picking flowers for a friend who came to play
The queen was in the playroom
Painting pictures for the childrens holiday.

Cry baby cry
Make your mother sigh
She's old enough to know better
So cry baby cry.

The duchess of Kircaldy always smiling
And arriving late for tea
The duke was having problems
With a message at the local bird and bee.

Cry baby cry
Make your mother sigh
She's old enough to know better
So cry baby cry.

At twelve o'clock a meeting round the table
For a seance in the dark
With voices out of nowhere
Put on specially by the children for a lark.

Cry baby cry
Make your mother sigh
She's old enough to know better
So cry baby cry cry cry cry baby
Make your mother sigh.

She's old enough to know better
Cry baby cry
cry cry cry
Make your mother sigh
She's old enough to know better
So cry baby cry.

Can you take me back where I came from?
Can you take me back?
Can you take me back where I came from?
Brother can you take me back?
Can you take me back?
Oooh, can you take me where I came from?
Can you take me back?

One of the songs I absolutely don't like.

The song was recorded for a John Lennon celebration. It was the B-side on Spider's Web single.

I also have to say, that I have problems with that song too. It's not one of my favourites. The other song, she played at that John Lennon Celebration was LITSWD, which is one of my favourites

I love this song. One of the songs where it's just her voice and guitar. The lyrics and her performance are fantastic.

"so cry baby cry" :strum:

The only thing I take issue with is the mastering. They put Katie's voice in the center, but her guitar is off-center around 10 o'clock. :?

I'm with Spicy in liking this one a lot. I think one reason for the off-centre guitar is to separate out the fact that there are actually (if I remember right) two guitar tracks on this song - not sure if it's Katie and Justin, or Justin twice.

That would be amazing :approve:

I have to admit that though I like The Beatles very much (would have said it was my favourite musician/band if someone had asked me before... Now of course it's changed :D), I only know Katie's version, which I like but it's not one of my favourites

We could all pre-order it, by sending a request to Dramatico :joyjoy:
