Every morning (a)bout half past eight, My Mummer wakes me says, “Don’t be late”, Get to the office, tryin’ to concentrate, My life is just a slow train crawling up a hill.
So I stop one day to figure it out, I’ll quit my job without a shadow of a doubt, To sing the blues that I know about, My life is just a slow train crawling up a hill.
Minute after minute, Second after second, Hour after hour goes by, Working for a rich girl, Staying just a poor girl, Never stop to wonder why.
So here I am in London town, A better scene I’m gonna be around, The kind of music that won’t bring me down, My life is just a slow train crawling up a hill.

Wow, we didn't had a topic on that amaaaaaaaaaaaaaaazing song. thank you, Ronald.
For me a killer song. This can't be done better.
For me this is a clear top 10 Katie title. A classic. And also for Katie it is something special. In one interview, she said, that during this song, she first felt the magic between the band and herself.
Also the video to that song is brilliant. Katie first as unbelievable beautiful business woman and than as unbelievable beautiful street musician.
Imagine: You pass the streets and Katie sits at the corner and plays her guitar. UUUUUUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!! And CUAH would be the perfect song for that

The video is my favorite
Mine, too.
About the song: I absolutely love the CD version of it, but her live version is somehow not that good, it's very different and sometimes this is good, but this is a song where I do not really like the variations. It's still great, but is far behind the COTS version of it.
The best version, I have heart from the song was during the Live Tour 2006 and now in Zürich, that accoustic version, only Katie with her guitar and her divine voice. Uaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah. The first is power without end and the second is for dreaming. It seems, that this are two totally different songs.

This was actually the first Katiesong I've ever heard. Loved it right away and I immediately knew I had to keep an eye on this very talented young woman.
